current lag time of photographs= more than two years. this is no longer even edging on pathetic, it’s flung itself clear over the cliff.
this is a hike we did in a little town called cool, near auburn, ca. we were promised a swimming hole at the end of this trail, and it did not disappoint. half the pictures were processed before i got my new monitor, so the colors aren’t quite as awesome. but most of them aren’t worth going back and fixing, to be honest, so you’ll just have to suffer a little.

most of the hikes in auburn start out like this, all dry and dusty and intermittently shady.

ken likes rocks.

nature’s graffiti

here is what we were really after. it’s like some sort of natural coliseum.

it comes with its own waterfall! (taken by ken)
it was too cold to do much swimming

so we mostly harassed frogs instead.
