I love doing art, but never considered it as a career until I was knee-deep in graduate school for Animal Behavior and suddenly realized that as much as I love animals, I wasn't happy. In fact I remember describing my life track at that time as being on a train about to head over a cliff. So I decided to take a bold move and quit the sciences altogether to try my hand at selling my art.
It wasn't like this came out of nowhere, really. My dad is an artist who eventually went professional, and I was already dabbling in film editing, working at the campus Craft Center, nurturing my lifelong photography addiction, and forming a band with my now-husband. Now with a certificate in Graphic Design under my belt I'm moving forward with my dream to make art a financially viable pursuit, to love what I do, and to encourage others to explore and nurture their own inherent artistic abilities.
