{"id":155,"date":"2009-09-26T21:54:35","date_gmt":"2009-09-27T05:54:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/blog\/2009\/09\/26\/state-fair-2005\/"},"modified":"2009-09-26T21:54:35","modified_gmt":"2009-09-27T05:54:35","slug":"state-fair-2005","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ansatejones.com\/blog\/2009\/09\/26\/state-fair-2005\/","title":{"rendered":"state fair 2005"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>i don&#8217;t think i ever posted this but here are some pictures from ken&#8217;s and my first trip to the ca state fair back in &#8217;05:<\/p>\n<p><strong>the fair, in a nutshell<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/bathroomface.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>TEH STAIT FAR WELCOMS U<\/p>\n<p><strong>livestock nursery<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/kenpiggy.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>we got to hold baby piggies at the nursery.  well actually the same baby piggy. ken tends to hold baby piggies gently&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/mepiggyyo.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>while i apparently tend to form impromptu hiphop groups with them, their caretakers and random passersby.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/calfgroom1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/calfgroom2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/kenmilk.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/aprilmilk2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>the guy wouldn&#8217;t just let me milk the goat alone.  i wasn&#8217;t doing a bad job, honestly. \/><\/p>\n<p>the caption says &#8220;one in the same&#8221;.  uh.  right.<\/p>\n<p><strong>petting zoo!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/goatclose3.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/generousllama1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Generous Llama doesn&#8217;t mind giving shade to the needy.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/goatfamily2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/goatyawn.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/goatfamily3.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/hungrydeer.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>the audacity of some of these hungry animals was just outrageous. here&#8217;s a deer performing the famous human trick, &#8220;checking to see if there&#8217;s anything left in the vending machine&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/goatmobbed1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/goatmobbed2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/goatmobbed3.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>the goats, though, were clearly worse.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/kenfeeddeer.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;here deer. plz don&#8217;t eat my hand plz&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/sac\/statefair05\/sadkanga.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>nothing can cheer up Sad Kanga.<\/p>\n<p><strong>assorted fair attractions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img \/><\/p>\n<p>there are some frightening county exhibits at this thing. like, yeah, i really want to come to your county so that i can be nommed by this FRIGHTENING SUN-ORANGE THING.<\/p>\n<p><img
