(ken took this)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/kendip2.jpg\" \/> <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/mecolddip.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n(ken took this)<\/p>\n<p>so i took a bunch of pictures OF the lake in about thigh-high water instead.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/trunklake1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/lake.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/lakehouse.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/tadpolesaladbar.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nthe &#8220;tadpole salad bar&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/watergrass.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/watergrass2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>i made ken pose, but he won&#8217;t let me post my favorite picture from the shoot.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/kenhangsout.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/kentrunkagain.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/idyllic.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>there was an abundance of wildlife there, including: <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/peafamily1.jpg\" \/><br \/>\npeacock family!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/peafamily2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/goose.jpg\" \/><br \/>\ngoose!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/goosestep.jpg\" \/><br \/>\ngoosestep<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/mepeachick.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nhere i am trying to pretend i have food in my hand. the peachicks were pretty precocious (sorry for lame alliteration&#8211; it was unintentional) (ken took this)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/peachickcloseup.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/peachicksrun.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nnot that brave though.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/harrassedpeacocks.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nthey must get it from their parents.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/peacockflee.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/peacockperch.jpg\" \/><br \/>\ni don&#8217;t think i&#8217;ve ever seen them do this before!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/mefeather.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nshowing off my new birdy feather (which my hair rather freakily kept swallowing up. i feel like marge simpson sometimes)!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/lizard.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nlittle guy was nice enough to pose for like .00000001 second<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/mekenlake.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nwe took a break to eat, hoping the lake would warm up a bit later.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/geeselake1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/epiccheeseeating.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nken brought goat cheese!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/marchofthewaterfowl1.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nfood is sensed on shore, and the march of the waterfowl begins.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/marchofthewaterfowl2.jpg\" \/><br \/>\ni guess you can&#8217;t really march very well on water, but you get my point.<\/p>\n<p>after lunch we still found the lake freezing, so took a small hike around. i took pictures of trees.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/treetrunk.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/pinecone.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/kenbamboo.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nbamboo was found.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/bamboo.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/mebemused.jpg\" \/><br \/>\ni think we&#8217;re lost.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/kenlake.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nnope, here&#8217;s more of the lake!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/cooltrunk1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/cooltrunk2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>at some point i decided i was crazy and went in up to my neck. it&#8217;s not so bad once your nervous system shuts down.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/mewater.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n(ken took this)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/medip2.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n(ken took this)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/selfportraitlake1.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nlake self-portraits<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/selfportraitlake2.jpg\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>we went across the road to the campgrounds to see if the lake was any warmer there (my wishful thinking). we saw many amusing signs though.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/mowbefore10.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nthat explains gidget&#8217;s morning routine!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/noisypump.jpg\" \/><br \/>\ni think anya made this sign.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansate.moosheep.org\/webstuff\/digitalis\/lakesolano\/eviction.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nkind of ridiculous.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>we went out to lake solano for a late morning swim a few weeks ago. we decided the lake was a little freezing&#8230;
