It was pretty glorious, and easily my favorite town of the whole trip. The Lakes are gorgeous and there was always plenty to do in town. It thrives on tourism, but isn&#8217;t cheapened by it.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/graphic\/captivity\/sleepsheep3653.jpg\"><br \/>\nWe arrived at night and made a quick stop by Derwentwater. Out in the fields were these odd white lumps, and it took a minute before I realized it was sheep sleeping.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/england\/sheepmountain3673.jpg\"><br \/>\nThe next day we again rented bikes and went for a ride around. Again, biking was harder than it should have been, but damn is that some beautiful scenery. After a good dose of griping we just went with it and walked our bikes up the hills.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/graphic\/littoral\/bluemist3683.jpg\"> <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/graphic\/littoral\/lakeside3685.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/graphic\/captivity\/shysheep3692.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/england\/sheeps3698.jpg\"> <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ansatejones.com\/digitalis\/england\/kenducks3719.jpg\"><br \/>\nKen vs. hungry ducks. Or geese? Whatever they were, they were seriously freaking us out.
