part 2 of my england collection of photos. these are actually OF england the country, too, so perhaps they’ll be a little more exciting than the last set. ;P

this is the front door of the house where we stayed all week. the fox door knocker is a testament to the large urban red fox population in the area. i actually saw one in the next door neighbor’s backyard through the bathroom window, but didn’t get to my camera in time to get a definitive picture. the knocker will have to do.

as soon as we got in we felt compelled to have tea. i fell in love with one of their coffee cups.

on our way through blackheath to greenwich. cats don’t like their pictures taken, so i must tell you that the cat looked like an intentional window dressing before i got the camera out. now it’s trying to hide itself.

blackheath!

some monument to the queen. not like there’s many of THOSE in england, right?

greenwich!

there was some weird clock exhibit at the greenwich observatory, one section asking kids to write down when time “stood still for them.” this answer was good, but the next is even more silly (ATTN SPOILERS LOL):
next page: greenwich park!

greenwich has a nice park with lots of pretty (and old) trees.

we were quite taken with them.

we found a deer sanctuary in the park!

i guess there’s a halfway decent picture of a fox visiting the deer.

one thing about england is that their phrasing is so polite. you should have seen the warning signs in the airport customs area.
next page: “the heath” and piccadilly circus!

the ravens also didn’t like having their pictures taken. so after a while i gave up and focused on the pretty tower on “the heath”

here we are lying on some dead people! how romantic!

on the underground. dr. who series 1 was right!

this really disturbed me.

piccadilly circus is just beautiful at night. and look! doubledecker buses! can it get any more british? CAN IT??!?!

the famous piccadilly cupid!
then we went home to sleep. i don’t have a picture of that.
